STEEVES, EILEEN ELIZABETH - Mrs. Eileen Elizabeth Steeves passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 29, 2014 at Carlton Kirk Nursing Home. A War bride she was born in England on July 12, 1924, a daughter of the late Elizabeth Beard. Nan Steeves as she was known by many, always had her back door open for anyone wanting a cup of tea. Nan Steeves is survived by her daughter Colleen Alderman of Saint John; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her mom she was predeceased by her husband Clark Steeves; two sons Brian “Buddy” Steeves, Jimmy Steeves. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John NB, E2M 2L3. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 6 to 9pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Castle Funeral Home on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 11 am.
