Lottie Margaret Maguire, age 84, of Garlands Crossing, Hants County, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014, at her home. Born on September 23, 1930, in Scotch Village, Hants Co., Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Mary (MacKenzie) Dearman. Lottie is survived by her daughter, Christine (Robert) Parker, Three Mile Plains; son, Stephen (Marlene) Hebb, Falmouth; grandchildren, Shawn, Tracy, Jamie and Amanda; great grandchildren, Owen, Jake, Ross and Rachel; Kylie, Ashley and Will; brothers, William “Bub”, Brooklyn; Kenneth, Alberta; sisters, Edna Parker, Sudbury, Ont.; Mary Smith, Upper Burlington; Myrtle Mantle, London, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Terrance “Terry” Curtis Maguire (2012); sisters, Barbara Nicoll and Lois McDonald. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Unit 200 Hants Community Hospital, also the home care workers, and the V.O.N. There was no visitation at her request. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2014, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, (902-798-2232) 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, B0N 2T0. Rev. Garnet Parker officiated, followed by a private family interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. A reception was helod at the Three Mile Plains Community Hall.
