It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald Harry Butt announce his passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the age of 91 years. He will be sadly missed by his daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Ian Bell of Pasadena, NL and his loving granddaughter Catherine Bell of Halifax, NS. He is survived by his sister, Hazel Head of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; his stepbrother, John MacDonald, BC, and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years, Maria Butt in 2013; his mother Wilhelmina (Forsey) (Butt) MacDonald in 1986; father John Norris Butt in 1926; stepfather John MacDonald in 1961; sisters Roxanna Hudson in 2011, and Mable Snow in 2002; stepbrother Donald MacDonald in 2014. Cremation has taken place and the funeral service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the United Church Cemetery Fund in Heatherton would be greatly appreciated.
