It is with broken hearts that we announce the peacefully passing of our mom, Ella Elizabeth (King) Axworthy, daughter of the late Augustus and Violet (Reid) King.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald, New Waterford, Frank 'Bingy' (June), Howie Centre, Gary (Gail), South Bar, Lenny, Glen (Michelle), Duane 'Cheetah' (Shelly), Troy (Susan); her daughters, Betty Gerrior (Kenny), Dorothy (Fred), Beverly (John) Rafferty, Glace Bay, Debbie (Cecil) Koehler, who she resided with on Ferris Street, Margie (John) MacLeod,.She is also survived by her sister, Dottie English, 28 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank Axworthy, daughter Loretta Gerrior, grandson Gregory, sister Loretta 'May' Cambridge, brothers, John, Gerald, Eddy, Agustus, and Fred King.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church, Whitney Pier, with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating. With burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
