The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Monday, November 3, 2014, of Donald Sidey MacIsaac of Dunblane aged 90, Veteran of World War II, husband of the late Norma (nee Waite). Don was born in Dunblane on September 28, 1924, son of the late Benjamin and Pearle (MacDonald) MacIsaac. Dear father to David (Karen), Port Perry, ON; Chris (Judy), O'Leary; Maisie (Ken) McCarthy, Unionvale; Lila (Gary) Buchanan, Summerside. Loving pappy to grandchildren: Lisa (Scott) Ramsay, Luke (Lindsey) McCarthy, Michael, Jeffery and Jill MacIsaac, Mac and Nate Buchanan and great-grandchildren: Jack, Jenna, Landon and Logan. Dear brother to Chesley (late Audrey), Scarborough, ON; Ada (late Ken) Ellis, West Cape; George(Annie Lou) Summerside; Bobby (late Florence), Ontario; Melba (Allison) Ellis, West Cape; Elwood (Norma), Glenwood; Rose, Toronto, ON; Johnny (Virginia), Dunblane. Sister-in-law to Lila (late Albert) MacKenzie, O'Leary, and nephew to Shirley MacIsaac, O'Leary. Don was predeceased by his parents, wife Norma, sisters: Lorna, Annie, Audrey, Thelma, Debbie, and brother Foster. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours on Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Thursday, Nov. 6, in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the Bethel United Church Cemetery. In memory of Don, memorials to the O'Leary Community Health Foundation (Palliative Care Unit) or the Bethel United Church Cemetery would be appreciated.
