Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, Rita Mary Hudson, age 92 years. Rita was a much loved and admired wife, mother, nanny and great-nanny, and throughout her life was a tremendous source of inspiration, strength and love to her family and all who knew her. Predeceased by her loving husband of 32 years, John (1974); parents, George and Ethel Evans; son, George; infant son, Evan; sister, Jean Kwasnik; brothers: Max, Clarence, Ralph, Ron, Gordon, Jack and Lloyd. Leaving to mourn, her daughters: Jeanette (Ian McAllister) and Dianne Reynolds; sons: Doug (Lillian), John (Judy), and Bill (Janet); daughter-in-law, Lorraine; brother, George Evans (Gert); precious grandchildren: Karen, Lara, Kirsten, Amanda, Kelly, Sharon, Matthew, Jill, Erin, Jason, Christina, Jonathan, Adam and Stephen; darling great-grandchildren: Sophia, Sara, Alison, Jayne, Jack, Alex, Ben, Michael, Gavin, Will, Caroline and Julianna; as well as many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of extended family and friends. Special thank you to the staff of 4 South B at the Health Sciences Complex and to her family doctor, Dr. Peter Robbins. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, November 6, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, and on Friday, November 7, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 11:00am, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
