Passed peacefully away at the Leonard A. Miller Center on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in the presence of her loving family after a courageous battle with COPD, cancer and diabetes. Joan Elizabeth Theresa Anderson age 77 years was predeceased by her first husband James Flemming; parents William and Mary DeBourke and sister Pauline. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 42 years Ronald; sons Shawn Flemming (Christine), Chris Flemming (Noreen); loving grandchildren Ian, Charlotte and Colette Flemming who she dearly loved. Also leaving to mourn brother-in-law Terry Anderson of Sooke, B.C.; special friend Annette Sessford and Bill White and sister Maureen (Ken) Anderson as well as her three brothers. Special thanks to the Sullivan family, Drs Wanda Parsons, Dr Ahmad, Dr Russell Dawe and staff of family practice at the Health Science Center as well as numerous friends and relatives. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, 84 Lemarchant Road. Cremation has taken place. Visitation on Friday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11:30 am from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
