JONES, CAROLE A. - Peacefully at her residence in the presence of her
family, on Thursday, November 6th, 2014; Carole Anne (Monaghan) Jones, wife of Donald P. Jones of St. Stephen, NB. Born in Milltown; she is the daughter of the late John & Mae (Smith) Monaghan. A resident of the St Stephen area all of her life Carole was employed with NB Tel for many years retiring in the late 1960's. After her retirement Carole worked many years with The Shoe Horn on King Street, from where she retired from in 1999. She was an active faithful member of Kirk McColl United Church, serving in many different capacities, such as the Kirk McColl UCW for over 40 years and also the IODE Heritage Chapter for over 35 years. Carol was also a founding member of the Sunshine Unit of the UCW. Carole is much loved and will be dearly missed by her husband Donnie of 53 years, her children Diane Jones Comeau (Shawn) and her grandchildren Brieanna, Mattison and Gabriel, son Peter (Heather) and her grandchildren Zack & Noah, all of St Stephen, NB, three brothers Charles Monaghan of St Stephen, NB, Jackie "John" (Jean) of Calais, ME, Duane (Elsie) of Ottawa, ON, two sisters Eileen Ingram of St Stephen, and Betty Cotter (Terry) of Hampton, NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Carole was predeceased by her grandson Riley Comeau and a sister Marilyn Clowater.
Resting at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street St Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 - 466 - 3110) from where the family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service in celebration of Carole's life will be held on Monday, November 10th, 2014 at 4:00 pm at Kirk McColl United Church. A
