The death occurred at Stewart Memorial Long Term Care, Tyne Valley, on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, of Mary 'Edith' (nee Hutchinson) Hayes, aged 91 years, beloved wife of the late George Hayes. Born in Ellerslie on March 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Susan (Ellis) Hutchinson. Loving mother to Arlene Hayes, Tyne Valley; Valerie (Craig) MacAusland, Lethbridge Alberta and Barb (Frank) Hansen, Tyne Valley. Dear grandmother to Michael MacAusland, Tofield, AB; Scott (Janet) MacAusland, Vancouver; Brian (Candace) MacAusland, Lethbridge, Alberta; Evan Hansen, Fredericton, NB; Curtis Hansen, Tyne Valley; and Darren (Lindsay) Hansen, Charlottetown; and to great-grandchildren. Scarlet Hansen, Casey, Elliotte, Spencer MacAusland and Declan MacAusland. Predeceased by her parents, husband George (2007), brother and sisters: Reby (Mark) White, Edna (Alton) Millar, Hartford Hutchinson, Melvin (Ruth) Hutchinson, Ruth (Kendall) Inglis, Clifford (Kay) Hutchinson, brother-in-law Bruce (Ina) Hayes and sister-in-law Orell (Robert) MacCaull. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8. Funeral will be held following visitation at 3 p.m in the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Bideford United Church Cemetery. In memory of Edith, memorials to Bideford-Conway United Church or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
