DAVIS, GLORIA JEAN - G. Jean Davis of Upper Queensbury, NB passed away suddenly at her home on November 6, 2014. Jean was born at Clayton, Yorkshire, UK on June 1, 1942, a daughter of the late Stanley and Nellie (Broughton) Singleton. Jean was a school teacher by profession. She was a lifetime member of the Anglican Church and served as organist for many years. Jean was a member of the ACW and the Shawl Ministry. She is sadly missed by her family and friends. Jean is survived by her husband, David Davis; three sons, Kenneth Davis (Karie-Lynn), Robert Davis (Roxanne) and Jonathan Fulljames (Helen); a daughter-in-law, Heather Davis; five grandchildren, Emily and Sophie Davis, Kennedy Davis, Anna and Nina Fulljames; a sister, Nona Eastwood (David); an aunt, Joyce Broughton; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Neil Singleton.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Tuesday evening, November 11, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Clement’s Anglican Church, Dumfries, NB on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Borthwick and Rev. Bob Barry officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Interment will take place later at the Nackawic Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Jean, the family has suggested the Nackawic Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice.
