Passed peacefully away at home Friday, Nov 7, 2014, Wayne Clark, after a very brief illness, in the presence of his loving wife Brenda (Walsh) and their daughter, Meagan. Predeceased by parents Charles and Vivienne Clark, and brothers Raymond of North Sydney, and Eric of NB. Leaving to mourn with loving memories and heavy hearts, sons David (Sara), NS, Dana (Denise), AB, daughters Sondra (Corey) & Leslie (John) BC, sisters Sharon McCormick, NB, Linda Pond (Roy), Bonnie, Jacklyn, and Liam Bird (Rick), NS. He will be forever loved and sadly missed by mother-in-law, Betty Walsh (Leo, predeceased), sisters-in-law Doreen Noseworthy (Gerry), Zita Murphy (John, predeceased), Marian Walsh (Barb), Mary Elizabeth Furlong, and brother- in-law and best friend John Walsh (Rose), as well as a number of grandchildren, six great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a large contingent of friends and colleagues. Wayne, originally from Cape Breton, spent his early years working with Marine Atlantic in North Sydney, Moncton , Halifax and St. John 's where he enjoyed a very successful career before making Newfoundland his home. After early retirement from Marine Atlantic, Wayne enjoyed a second career with Atlantic Lottery Corporation in St. John's. He thoroughly enjoyed travelling with wife Brenda, cooking, boating with brother-in-law John, and he was an avid crib player who always relished a challenge from visitors who shared his passion for the game. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family in the privacy of his own home, and dearly loved his best and loyal canine friend, Trixie. Though his life was shorter than we would have liked, he thoroughly enjoyed life and was loved and appreciated for his incredible humour, his sense of decency, and his love of life and family. Visitation will be at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Sunday, November 9th, from 7 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.; and on Monday, November 10th, from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m, and 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Celebration of Wayne's life will take place from Barrett's Chapel on Tuesday, November 11th, at 11:00 a.m..
