MITTON, FRANCES M. - Frances M. Mitton, 87, of Monarch Hall, Riverview and formerly of Glenwood Drive, Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, November 7, 2014. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Oldfield) Parker. Frances was a retired Office Manager, Neurosurgery at The Moncton Hospital with 20 years’ service. She was a member of St. George’s Anglican Church and a Past President of The Lewisville YMCA. Frances will be sadly missed by her loving sons, Gary Mitton of Montreal, PQ and Brian Mitton (Anne) of Dartmouth, NS; grandchildren, Nancy, Caroline and Emma; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold E. Mitton (September 2011); sister, Norma. Frances was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) with no visiting hours by personal request. A service celebrating Frances’ life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 1:30 pm, with The Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
