GAUDET, ERNESTINE - (1914 - 2014) - Collette – At the Miramichi Regional Hospital, Saturday, November 8th, 2014, passed away at the age of 100, Ernestine Gaudet, wife of the late Ben Gaudet. Formerly of Collette, she was now residing at the Foyer Assomption of Rogersville. Born on June 21st, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Roy and the late Émilie Doucette. She is survived by her four daughters: Annette (Ovila Landry) of Collette, Lilianne (Roméo Arseneault) of St-Eustache, QC, Sister Elda DOJ, and Sister Alfreda, Trappistines, both of Rogersville; six sons: Normand (Marguerite), and Léo (Lucienne) both of Rogersville, Médric (Francine), Claude (Bernice), Fernand (Gisèle)and Réginald (Laurise) all of Collette. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Also in grief are her son-in-law, Philias Cormier (Éva) of Collette, two step-sisters: Aurore Roy of Foyer Assomption Rogersville, and Béatrice Léger, Ontario. She was predeceased by her daughter, Dorothée (Philias Cormier), and her daughter in law, Évéline (Normand).
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the Salon ‘La Colombe’ 11325 rte 126, Rogersville, on Tuesday, November 11th, 2014 at 2pm. The funeral service will be held at St-François-de-Sales Roman Catholic Church of Rogersville on Wednesday, November 12th at 2pm. Visiting hours: November 11th, from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm, and on November 12th, from 12:30 until the departure for the funerals. Donation can be made at the Collette parish or Monument National Notre-Dame de l’Assomption of Rogersville.
