BURNS, RUTH - Today Heaven received another angel! It is with very heavy hearts that the family of Ruth Louise Burns (McCartney) announce her passing, with her family by her side on November 8, 2014 at the St John and St Stephen Church Home. She is survived by her children, Karen Noel (David Paul), Larry Burns (Debby) and Kathe Burns (Murrel); six grandchildren, Brenda, David, Scott, Mike, Jody and Michelle; eight great-grandchildren Fiona, Calista, Mason, Cohen, Kohan, Tristin, Landon, Tyler and Taylor; a brother John McCartney (Pat) of Welland, Ontario, sisters-in-law Jean Davis, Shirley Burns, Wilma McCartney; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Douglas Burns, her parents William and Beatrice McCartney and two brothers Samuel and Richard.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 from 3 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
