It is with great sadness that we, the family of Pierre Ciocca, announce his passing on Nov. 10, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Riccia, Italy on June 27, 1935, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Angela (Moffa) Ciocca. Pierre was a resident of France, most recently residing in St. Pierre and Miquelon.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph; his nephews, Roberto (Manpreet), Tonino (Heather), and Mario; four grandnieces and four grandnephews.
Besides his parents, Pierre was predeceased by his brother, Michael.
Visitation will be today (Thursday, Nov. 13), from 6-9 p.m. at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St., Sydney. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Sydney River with Fr. Duaine Devereaux officiating. Interment will follow the mass at Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations in Pierre’s memory be made to a charity of choice.
