GAUDET, SR GERMAINE - Sister Germaine Gaudet, ndsc, in religion Marie-Évéline, of Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Moncton, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the convent where she resided following a lengthy illness. She was 93 and in her 69th year of her religious life. Born on November 23, 1920 in Saint-Joseph of Memramcook, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Éveline (LeBlanc) Gaudet. Besides her religious family, she is survived by one sister, Corinne Gaudet (Henri Cormier) of Dieppe; two half-sisters: Jeannette Dupuis and Rita Dupuis (late Joseph Shea), both of Memramcook; three half-brothers: Paul Dupuis (Winnita) of Memramcook, Ronald Dupuis (Roger) and Henri Dupuis (Everett), both of Moncton; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Doris; two half-brothers: Jean and Pierre.
Sister Gaudet will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavillion of the Maison-mère, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Friday, November 14 from 2 to 9 pm and on Saturday, November 15 from 9 am until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held on Friday evening at 7:30 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 15, 2014 in the Maison-mère chapel at 10 am. Interment will be in Memramcook.
