Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex on November 9, 2014, Maxwell Stone, age 91 of Lower Lance Cove, Random Island. Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Florence Stone and brother, Edward Stone. Max leaves to mourn his wife of 68 years, Phyllis Stone (nee Fost), and his children, Allister (Linda), Audrey (Phillip), Barry (Carole) and Beverley. He will be sadly missed by his brother Ross (June) , his sister Violet (Malcolm) and sister-in-law, Eleanor. Left with loving memories are his grandchildren Jennifer Whalen, Gregory Eustace, Jane Eustace, Allison Eustace, Brent Stone, Laura Stone and Joshua Stone, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home, Hickman's Harbour, Random Island. The funeral service, officiated by Major David Chaulk, took place on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from the Salvation Army Citadel, Hickman's Harbour with interment following at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lower Lance Cove.
