Age 71, died on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Waccamaw Hospital.
Born April 18, 1943 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada to the late Mildred M. MacDonald who was born on Panmure Island, P.E.I., and George J. MacDonald born in Charlottetown.
Upon graduation from high school, Allan entered the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement in Garrison, New York. He later graduated from Rhode Island College with a Bachelor of Arts; a Masters of Arts from the University of Dayton; and a Doctor of Philosophy from Walden University.
Allan leaves to mourn his loving wife, Barbara, his beloved son, Christopher, devoted daughter-in-law, Lisa, and faithful brother, Gerry. He is also mourned by many family members and friends.
Peace came to Allan and his wife as members of St. Michael Catholic Church. His burial in the Columbarium will be private.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Franciscan Friars of the Atonement, St. Christopher’s Inn at 1350 Route 9, PO Box 300, Garrison, NY 10524-0301, 845-424-3671.
