Born in Cornwall, Ontario died suddenly on November 13, 2014 at the age of 38. Leaving to mourn her parents Lynda Lalonde, Tom St. John, and Gerry Lalonde (Shirley); brother Andrew (Melissa); nephews Wyatt and Taylor; sister Rosalie (Mike); nephew Isaac; brother James, Louise St. John (Pierre), Jeannette (Gord) Dyck and family; aunts, uncles and their families Maureen and Chuck Starnes, Anita Savage, Dianne and Marcell Villeneuve, Louise Villeneuve, Francine and Robert Bolduc, Patricia Gale, Dianne Veitch, David and Marg Whalen, Peter and Milley St. John,; cousins and their families Tracey (Adrian) Cox, Tommy (Meredith) Starnes and family. Special friend Katie Secord. A graduate of Memorial University, Grenfell Campus, Maria loved theater, drawing, dance, writing, the opera and all things connected to the arts in Newfoundland and Toronto. Maria was very active in the local arts community and a member of many organizations and clubs. An employee of the Federal Government, she thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie of her co-workers and many friends in her work environment. Our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks go to the staff at CICU especially Rhonda, Sandra and all the nurses, also to Dr. Mong, Dr Boone and Dr Tucker, their compassionate and loving care of Maria and her family was exceptional. A celebration of Maria's life will be held at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maria's name to the LSPU Hall website would be gratefully appreciated.
