FITZSIMMONS, KATHLEEN V. - Kathleen V. Fitzsimmons, 83, of Canaan, passed away at her residence after a lengthy illness, on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Born in Canaan Station, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Vera (Sherwood) Lewis. Kathleen loved her family, gardening, quilting and cooking – and especially loved having family and friends come for a meal. Kathleen is survived by her husband of 66 years, Everett Fitzsimmons; sons, Alfred Fitzsimmons (Cathy) of Catamount and Rodney Fitzsimmons (Bernadette) of Saint Paul; daughters, Iva Ward (Leonard) of Grangeville and Bonny Wasson (Ripley) of Berry Mills; by her beloved nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Dale Fitzsimmons of Hillsborough. Also surviving are her sister, Eileen Gallagher and brothers, Emery Lewis and Orland Lewis; and special friends Richard and Karen Price. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a beloved son, Eddie Fitzsimmons and two siblings.
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) with visitation hours on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Funeral Service at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 pm, with Pastor Paul Leger officiating. Interment, Birch Hill Cemetery, Berry Mills.
