The death occurred at his late residence in Bloomfield on Monday, November 17, 2014, of Stanley 'John Rayner, aged 60 years, husband of Sheila (Rodgerson) Rayner. John was born in O'Leary on May 13, 1954, son of Catherine (MacDonald), Elliott Lake, ON, and the late 'Ray' Stanley Rayner. Dear father to Kent (Christine), Charlottetown and Grampy to grandson Riley Gaudet. John is survived by sisters and brothers Bill (Marcella), Charlottetown; Ruth (Eric) Cornish, Duvar; Rickey (Barb), Wilmot Valley; Edith Yeo, Hamilton, ON; Helen Rayner; Colleen Arsenault, Summerside; Stanley (Connie), Knutsford; Carman (Sally), Moncton, NB; Charles (Helen), O¹Leary; and William MacDonald. He is also survived by mother-in-law Dorothy (Wood) Rodgerson, Unionvale; brother-in-law James Rodgerson, Charlottetown; Wanda (Elton) Ellis, O¹Leary; Trudy (Kenny) Buote, Tignish; and Grant (Claudette), Unionvale. Predeceased by his father, brother-in-law Ronnie and father-in-law Fred Rodgerson. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be held on Friday in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment later in West Devon United Church Cemetery.
