GRANT, BEATRICE - Beatrice Marie Grant passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 18, 2014 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 11, 1933 in Killoween, NB she was a daughter of the late James and Gladys (Broad) Oakes. Beatrice was an amazing woman of faith with a strong spirit. She was a faithful member of Calvary Temple Church for over 49 years. She will be sadly missed. Surviving are her husband, John Grant; children, Carol (Dan) Morrell, New Mexico; Sharon (Richard) Watts, Quispamsis; David (Kathy) Grant, Quispamsis; Kathy Stevenson, Saint John; and Michelle (Dean) Corey, Saint John; sisters, Thelma (Lawrence) Giberson, Holmesville; Melba (Frank) Thorne, Sussex; and Connie Grant, Saint John; grandchildren, Robin, Seth, Victoria, Aaron, Sarah, Michael, John, Jennifer, Travis and Sophie; great-grandchildren, Will, Charlie, Jarren, Madison, Jamie Lee and Kohen; several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425) with visiting on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held from Calvary Temple Church, 93 Sydney Street, Friday, November 21, at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
