Suddenly at her late residence, at Northport, on Sunday, November 16, 2014, of June Lila Hamill, beloved wife of Fred Hamill, age 78 years. Born at Northport on November 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Olive (nee Currie) Fraser. Loving mother to Scott and his wife Nancy (Bell) Hamill of Mill River East and cherished grandmother to Shelby (friend Sean) of Alberton. Dear sister to Mildred MacKenzie of Rothesay, N.B., and Roy (Ruby) of Northport. She is also survived by sisters and brother-in-law: Blanche Hutt of Alberton; Guelda Matthews of Montrose; and Clair Matthews of Northport. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by siblings and their spouses: Ralph (Ruth), Kier (Violet), Hubert (Greta), Franklyn, Reginald (Levina), Upton (Elaine), Stuart (Eleanor), Burton MacKenzie, Fred Matthews, Anita Matthews, and Kenneth Hutt. She was also predeceased by her father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Grace (nee Gordon) Hamill. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton. Visiting hours Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday morning November 20, 2014, from the Gordon Memorial United Church, Alberton, at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John A.C. Wilson officiating.
