We, the family of Sandy MacAdam wish to express our heartfelt thanks to our family, friends and neighbors for all the love and support we received during his illness and during the loss of a special husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Special thanks to the Doctors and staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, the staff on the 4th, 5th and especially the 2nd floors, at the Northside General Hospital for all their special care. Many thanks to our wonderful Dr. Doug Kohlsmith who was always there for us. To special friend Leonard Guy who was so faithful in his weekly visits to Sandy. Thanks to Father Patrick O’Neill and Rev. Ritchie Robinson for the hospital visits and for arranging and conducting the beautiful Funeral Mass. Also thanks offered to the Organist and Funeral Choir of St. Joseph Church, the 4th Degree KOC Honor Guard, the altar servers, the Funeral Reception Team for the lovely reception and the pallbearers Ken Byrne, Bob MacFarlane, Bob Parsons, Charlie Keagan, Lawrence Shebib and Chris Pickles. Our thanks to all who visited, phoned, provided food, sent flowers, memorials, mass and sympathy cards. All your acts of kindness and caring will always be remembered. We wish to extend our deep appreciation to the staff of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, especially Dan Campbell, for your guidance, compassion and professionalism during this difficult time. We find peace in knowing Sandy is now ‘free' and that he followed the path God laid for him.
