David Joseph Winston Snow
Lieu de naissance : Sydney Mines
Date de décès : 21 novembre 2014
It is with a very heavy heart and great sadness that we share the news of the sudden death of David Joseph Winston Snow on the early morning of Nov. 21, 2014. Born in Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late Joseph and Olive (Young) Snow.
For many years he worked for J.R. Raheys in Sydney Mines. He was an active member of Trinity Anglican Church, where he worked tirelessly on the many church suppers and fundraising events.
He was a man of strong beliefs, morals and ethics; attributes he instilled in his children. Although a small man in stature, he had a big heart.
He had many friends and acquaintances with whom he shared much laughter. Ruth and Harold McLean were great friends with whom he shared many Sunday breakfasts, and a great deal of laughter. True friends are family.
He will be missed dearly by his family and friends, and will be forever in their hearts.
David leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Dorothy, as well as his three children, David (Shauna Hillier) Snow, Donna (Larry MacPherson) and Denise (Ken Popowich). Dad had five grandchildren, Makayla, Larry Jr., Kiana, Jenna and Brooke, who he loved dearly. He often shared passionately the stories of the time he spent with all of them. He is also survived by his sisters, Jane Peterson and Merdina (Melvin) Bond; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for David Snow will be held in the J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A celebration of his life will take place Monday at 11 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Church, with Rev. Stacey LeMoine officiating. The burial will be in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Tobin Road. A reception will take place in Grandy Hall, after the service.
Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com.
