RICHARD, PAUL JOSEPH - 1959 - 2014 - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Joseph Richard, of Moncton, beloved husband of Helen (Ogilvie) Richard, which occurred on Sunday, November 23, 2014. Born in Saint John, he was the son of Malvina (Gosselin) Richard and the late Bernard Richard (2014). Paul was currently employed with Francis Plumbing and was a Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces with 20 years’ service. The family lived in Cold Lake, AB prior to his retirement in New Brunswick. He was a passionate Montreal Canadiens fan who also enjoyed playing hockey, loved his golf and going camping on the weekends with his family. Most of all, he was a true family man who adored and treasured times spent with his loving family. He will be sadly missed. In addition to his mother, Malvina, and his wife, Helen, Paul is also survived by his daughter, Amanda Richard (Nathan) of Moncton; sisters, Anita Toogood (Ronald) of Moncton, Emily McManus (Dave) of Saint John, Linda Gauthier (Jean-Yves) of Martinon, Dianne Monaghan (Steve) of Second Falls; brothers, Robert Richard (Darlene) of Saint John and Norman Richard (Nancy) of Nerepis; several nieces and nephews; father-in-law, George Ogilvie. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his daughter, Nicole (1989) and mother-in-law, Kathleen Ogilvie (2010).
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) with no visiting hours by personal request. A Celebration of Paul’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Allison Carroll officiating.
