Marie (Barrett) Menzies passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
She is survived by her son, Harold MacLean; daughter-in-law, Bev and grandson, Trevor, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marie was predeceased by her four brothers, Russell, Austin, Boniface and Timothy and sister, Hyacianthe.
Marie lived a full and varied life, moving a total of 52 times from Nova Scotia to Ontario to pioneering in Northern British Columbia and finally settling on the island she loved with her family and friends. Her favourite spot in this world was St. Peter's among her childhood friends. Marie was also a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 47, Grand Anse/St. Peter's.
Interment will take place at a later date.
Good-bye Mom, you are now at peace and never forgotten.
