B.Sc. Arch., B Arch., NLAA, RAIC. February 10, 1948 - November 23, 2014. Doug passed away at age 66 years after suffering a severe stroke. Predeceased by his mother Louise and his sister-in-law Ann Marie Grace. Loved and sadly missed by his wife of 34 years Barbara (Grace) and daughter Katie. Also mourned by his father Douglas, siblings Janet (Bob), Barrie and brother-in-law John Grace. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephew and many dear friends. Doug was born in Montreal, a city he loved dearly, and graduated in architecture from McGill University. He received many awards for his work and his love of beauty was apparent in his art, his photography and his outlook on life. Thank you to so many friends and family and to the staff at Health Science Center and St. Clare's Mercy Hospital who provided invaluable support and loving care in Doug's last days. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private celebration of Doug's life at a later date. Donations in Doug's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
