STAIRS, IRMA E. - Irma E. Stairs of Woodstock, NB passed away November 28, 2014 at Riverside Court, Woodstock, NB. Irma was born at Southampton, NB in 1922, a daughter of the late Ralph and Mildred (Davidson) Stairs of Meductic, NB. Irma lived and worked in the Moncton area where she had a career with the Royal Bank until her retirement. She was an avid golfer and curler. She is survived by a brother, Fred Stairs (Alice), Meductic, NB; a sister, Alice MacFarlane, Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Louise Lenentine in 2013 and Marie Williams in 2011; a brother, Bertram Stairs in 1970.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 12 noon to 2 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm with Rev. Willard Jones officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Interment will be later at Lower Meductic Cemetery.
