Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Glenbrook Lodge, Torbay Rd., St. John's, after a short illness, Rita Dorothy Courage (Brown) age 91 years. Predeceased by husband of 62 years Earl James Courage and by her parents, Elizabeth Brown (Abbott) and Gabriel Brown; sister Alice King; brothers: William, Jesse, Leonard, Gordon. Left to mourn sister Mildred Hollett and Rev. Canon John Brown (ret). Son Leonard (Louise), daughters Jean Noseworthy (Robin), Elizabeth Murphy (Jim), and Elaine Walters (Phil); eight grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter; as well as a large circle of family and friends. Her kindness, generosity and love of family will be sadly missed. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Funeral service to take place from Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. Followed by inurnment at Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
