The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, of Clinton Herbert Trowsdale, of Summerside, formerly of Ellerslie, aged 72 years. Born in Summerside on September 29, 1942, son of the late William and Lottie (MacLeod) Trowsdale. Dear stepfather to Rachel (Mike) Palmer and step-grandfather to 5 grandchildren. Clinton is survived by his sister Verna Gillis, Streetsville, ON., and brother Wayne (Janice), Bideford; sister-in-law Doris Trowsdale, Freeland, and brother-in-law Verne Howatt, Frankford, ON. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, good friends Don McRoberts and Helen MacDonald. Predeceased by his parents, sister Helen (Hans) Arp, Mary Howatt, brother Gordon and brother-in-law Wendell Gillis. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Friday, Dec. 5, from 1-3 p.m. Funeral will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow in Tyne Valley Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Clinton, donations to the West Country Historical Society would be appreciated.
