Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on December 7, 2014, age 105. Predeceased by her husband Alonzo, sons Jim and Blaise. Leaving to mourn daughters Diane Daly (Charlie), Jane Power (Mike), Andrea Manning (Ray, deceased), sons Peter Dunne (Ruth) and Roger Dunne, sister Gertrude Barron, residing in British Columbia, 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, daughters-in-law Pat Roche and Jeanette Dunne, Special friend Lona Warren, many nieces and nephews. Mary was an avid sportswoman from an early age. She played golf into her 70's, tennis and curled, representing Newfoundland at the national curling championships on the woman's and mixed teams. She enjoyed a game of bridge with many friends and family and a good game of growl at Bally Haly. The family would like to thank the staff of 3 West at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, for their kindness and care during her stay. Cremation has taken place, with funeral arrangements entrusted to Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. A mass of Christian burial will take place at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Torbay Road on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre.
