Passed away suddenly at the Health Sciences Center on Sunday, December 7th, 2014, Lewis (Lew) Douglas Smith, age 79. Predeceased by parents Douglas and Suzannah (Butt); son Craig; sister Mabel Neil (Sam); brothers Jack (Mary), Eric (Genevra). Leaving to mourn his loving wife Barb (Crotty); daughter Colette Price (John-deceased); his sons Gary and Billy (Sherry); grandchildren Johnny Price Jr. (Meghan), Robert Price (Tiffany), Billy Jr., Stephen, Dwayne and Christy Smith; Step-daughters Yvonne Peddle (Paul), Juanita Landry (Luc); step-granddaughters Andrea Tucker (Brad) and Rebecca Landry. Also several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Many special neighbours and bowling friends. At Lew's request, cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Wednesday December 10 and Thursday December 11 from 12 noon - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10 a.m. from Caul's Chapel. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Newfoundland Lung Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
