MacNEILL, JOHN FRANKLIN - The passing of John Franklin MacNeill of Lower Hainesville, NB, husband of Anne (King) MacNeill occurred on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at home. Born on September 17, 1948 in Burtts Corner, NB, he was the son of the late Durwood and Bertha (Price) MacNeill. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather who worked many years as a carpenter. He was affiliated with the Lower Hainesville Wesleyan Church. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children, Kari-Anne Hirst, Becky MacNeill, Travis MacNeill and Rick Hirst; grandchildren, Tyler and Kira Hirst, Bailey and Lexie Chiasson; sisters, Leona (Norman) Wiggins, Gloria (Gerald) Northrup, Mabel (Ken) Pugh and Katherine MacNeill; brothers, Floyd (Beulah) MacNeill, Eugene MacNeill, Allison (Joan) MacNeill, Richard MacNeill and Robert MacNeill; his special K-9 companion, Marley; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, John is predeceased by an infant brother; sister, Ruby Roberts and his sister-in-law, Viola MacNeill.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm as well as on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 12 to 1:30 pm at the Lower Hainesville Wesleyan Church. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm with Rev. Scott Lewis officiating. Interment will take place in Lower Hainesville Cemetery at a later date.
