MARGESON, IRENE LOTTIE - It Is with heavy hearts the family of Irene Margeson, wife of the late Garnett Margeson, announce her passing on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Kings Way Care Centre. Born in Millville, NS on August 22, 1918, she was a daughter of the late George and Annie (Brennan) Foster. Irene loved to keep her hands busy making crafts and sharing them when friends and family. She was particularly fond of crocheting, knitting, baking and making preserves. Irene will be missed by her children; Shirley Watts of Alberta, Thelma Kierstead (the late Fred) of Saint John, Judy Wood (Jerry) of Ratters Corner, Betty Robins (the late Jim) of Saint John, Linda Merrick (John) of Quispamsis, Dale Arsenault (Raymond) of Sussex, Garnett Margeson (Lisa) of Quebec and Charles Margeson of St. Martins; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a sister, Mabel Mortimer (the late John) of Ontario; a brother, Percy Brennan (Ting) of Saint John; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended relatives. In addition to her husband, Garnett, and her parents, Irene was predeceased by a sister Bessie Ellis (the late Lawrence) and a brother Clayton Foster (the late Madeline).
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 12:00 pm in Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow in Brenan’s Reception Centre.
