Elizabeth passed away peaceful on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at the age of 88, in the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born on May 30, 1925 in Big Bras d’Or, she was the daughter of John and Grace (MacKinnon) Campbell. She was a war veteran for the Canadian military. She served in the Second World War. She was a devoted mother, wife and family woman.
Betty is survived by her five grandchildren, Crystal, Joel, Angela, Courtney and Jonathan and four great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, T’Yanna, Alliyah and Courtney.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her only son, Sydney and her husband of 58 years, Allan.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Betty will take place on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. in Curry’s Glace Bay Funeral Home, 775 Main St., the Rev. Ritchie Robinson will be officiating. The interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
