Born Marion Elizabeth Anne Mosley in Springhill, Nova Scotia on Oct. 11, 1938, Anne passed away peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 5, 2014.
She is survived by her loving husband, Blaine. She leaves behind two sisters and their respective families in the Halifax region, Barbara Murphy (Frank, deceased) and Sarah-Lyn MacMillan (Kevin).
Anne received her Bachelor’s degree at Mount Allison University and her Masters of Librarianship at the University of Toronto. She later received her Master in Arts degree from the University of British Columbia. She has lived in Prince George since 1962, moving here as head librarian at the Municipal Library on Brunswick Street. Later, she became a teacher-librarian for School District #57, starting at Blackburn Secondary School, moving to the position of one of the heads at the District Resource Centre, then on to the library at the bilingual King George V Elementary School and retiring in 1998 from Prince George Secondary School.
She was very active in the local and provincial Librarians Specialists’ Associations as well as civic groups like Cantata Singers and Theatre Workshop, and in retirement served as the archivist for the Prince George Symphony Orchestra.
On retirement, she and Blaine bought a second home on Cape Breton Island where they spent thirteen wonderful summers. Among her many pleasures were travelling to many places abroad and to the Maritimes. She also loved downhill skiing and dancing. She had a lifelong love of books and all sorts of music, especially opera.

A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 4 p.m. in the First Baptist Church at 483 Gillett St., Pastor Blishen officiating, a reception to follow.
