Peacefully, at the Dr. John Gillis Lodge, on Friday, December 12, 2014, of Gordon MacLeod Brown, age 95. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Rita (Jenkins).
Survived by loving daughter, Donna (John) Graves; son, Gordon (Frances); and daughter, Ena (Wayne) Gillis. Cherished grandchildren, Corey and Brodey (Sonya) Brown, Jody (Heather) Rice, Pam and Russell (Sheena) Graves, Kelli Gillis (Sean) and Lynn (Allan) McGuigan; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jeremy, Luke, Eli, Colby, Charlie, Eden, Carlee and Alley; great-great-grandchild, Tyesia. Predeceased by parents, John and Angusena Brown; by sisters, Florence (Bennett) Haywood, Marjorie (Al) Pugh; brother, Robert (Bertha) Brown.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, with visitation Monday, December 15, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 16, at St. Andrew’s United Church, Vernon Bridge, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at the St. Andrew’s United Church Cemetery.
