The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Sunday, December 14, 2014, of Marie Cook, of Whisperwood Villa and formerly of Nassau Street, Charlottetown, aged 84 years.
Born in Upper Northfield, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Percy and Luella (Whynot) Oickle.
Survived by her sons, Frank (Joanne MacKinnon), Fort St. John, B.C.; Peter (Beth), Oshawa, ON; Eric (Nancy Field), Fredericton, N.B.; daughter, Mary MacLean, Summerside; grandchildren, Alex, Kristen, Joshua and Rebecca Cook and Jordan and Morgan MacLean; and by her sister, Janetta Powers, Bridgewater, N.S. Predeceased by her husband, Charles Cook; sisters, Myra DeLong and Maysie Stewart; and by brothers-in-law, Arlee DeLong, Gilbert Stewart and Hector Powers.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel, Charlottetown, from where funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment in Sherwood Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday from 4-6 p.m.
