HICKS, HAROLD - Harold Hicks of Moncton passed away peacefully at The Monarch Hall in Riverview, NB, on December 17th, 2014 at the age of 87. Born in Sackville, NB, he was the son of the late Lance and Florence Hicks. Harold is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth (Goodwin) Hicks, and children Richard and wife Helen, Eric and wife Kathy, and daughter Kathy and husband Dan, along with many grandchildren and great grand children. Aside from his parents, Harold was predeceased by his two brothers, Doug and Ken, and three sisters; Allean White, Penny Lennerton, and Alva Bannister. Harold owned and operated a grocery store in Sackville before going onto a 24 year career with the Lounsbury's Furniture company. He was a member at the Parkside Baptist Church. He was a board member with the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Moncton, the Gideon's International for 50 plus years, and the Word of Life Canada ministries. Harold loved to be involved in the service of His Lord and generously gave of himself to others.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, December 21 from 2 to 4 pm. A funeral service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Monday, December 22, at 11:00am with internment and reception to follow. The Rev. Ken Fillmore will be officiating.
