Passed peacefully away at the Glenbrook Lodge Nursing Home, St. John’s, NL, on Thursday, December 18th, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, ELIZABETH CAROLINE (Lizzie) LOCKYER, (nee Hodder) of Creston South, in her 75th year. Leaving to mourn her loving children Christine Hollett (Calvin), Wayne (Rexene), Randy (Sherry), daughter in law Lori Lockyer; grandchildren, Dwayne and Roger Kirby, Calvin, Lisa, and Debbie Hollett, and Ashley, Briana, and Julie Lockyer, great grandchildren Nathan, Claire, Lincoln, William, Lucas, Jackson and Isabella; Brother Ralph Hodder (Vera), Creston South, sisters Evelyn Kirby (Neil), Collins Cove, Beulah Tucker (Simeon), Creston South, and a large circle of relatives and friends.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband Reginald, parents Walter and Leah Hodder, special parents Charles and Charlotte Hooper, daughter Debbie Kirby, sister Elsie Hodder and brother in law Sam Hodder.


Rev. Gloria Wendover conducted the Funeral Service at St. Michael’s Anglican Church, Creston South, on Sunday, December 21st, 2014; at 2:00 pm. Interment was at the Anglican Church Cemetery in Creston South, NL.

Donations in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to the Glenbrook Lodge Nursing Home, St. John’s, NL.

Pallbearers were Calvin Hollett, Wayne Lockyer, Calvin Hollett Jr., Roger Kirby, Ralph Hodder, and Adrian Farrell.
