WRIGHT, KENNETH CHARLES - With heavy hearts, the family of Kenneth Charles Wright announce his peaceful passing on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Ken was born in Montreal, PQ, on September 14, 1941, to the late Alexander and Lillian (Creates) Wright. Ken was a very kind, generous and easy-going man. Ken was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy and a Legion member for over 40 years. Following his retirement from the Montreal Urban Police Department, and after moving to Saint John, Ken liked nothing more than enjoying a few beers with his friends at the legion. In addition to his wife Mildred, he is survived by his daughter Pat of Saint John, NB; grandchildren Crystal (Sarah) and Amber of Saint John, NB; great grandchildren Zack, Rachel and Marlee; Sister Bernice (Ken) Woolrich, and nephew Keith of Ottawa, ON; and several nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his parents and many aunts and uncles.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with Ken’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
