McLAUGHLIN, BLAIR E. - 1950 - 2014 - Miramichi - Blair Edward McLaughlin, husband of Edith R. McLaughlin, of Crosby Crescent, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday afternoon, December 26, 2014, at the age of 64. Born in Chatham, on March 27, 1950, he was the son of the late G.F. (Cuffy) and Jean (Nash) McLaughlin. He was a retired employee of the N.B. Dept. of Transportation and was a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi; a member of Branch #3, Royal Canadian Legion and a sports enthusiast, participating in various sporting activities. He is survived by his wife, the former Edith R. Adams; two daughters, Kimberly Hotton (Troy) and Tobi Trask (Mike), all of Miramichi; three sisters, Diane Ramsay, of Miramichi, Barbara Cook, of Redmondville and Margaret McLaughlin, of Miramichi; two brothers, Richard (Cuffy) McLaughlin (Janet) and Greg McLaughlin (Debbie), all of Miramichi; two grandchildren, Gavin and Mason. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Ian McLaughlin.
Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Andrews United Church on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight.
