Born in Summerside on May 25, 1946, beloved son of Olive (Wagner-Oatway) Grant, of Ellerslie and the late Lawson Oatway. Dear father of Myrna Albert (Chris Harvey), East Bideford; Cecil (Amanda) Oatway, Summerside. Loving grandfather of Joni, Stacey, Mandi, Courtney, Chelsie, Matthew; and great grandfather of Dakota. Brother of Harold (Diane) Oatway, Ellerslie; Phyllis (Ellis) Lidstone, St. Catharines, Ont. Brother-in-law of Karen Oatway, Summerside; Gertie Adams, Sambro, N.S.; Carolyn (Willard) Lewis, Cascumpec; Mary (Billy) Ellands, Ellerslie; Frank (Melissa) Banks, Decker Road; Kent Atherton, Saint John, N.B.; Garry Wilson, Inverness. Predeceased by his father; stepfather. Henry Grant, and brother, James. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. followed by a short service at 8 p.m. Interment later in the Freeland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
