YOUNG, STERLING BRUCE - Sterling Bruce Young passed away peacefully at Mill Cove Nursing Home on January 5, 2015. He was born in Jemseg, NB to the late James and Sadie (Mott) Young on January 19, 1921. Bruce spent his life outdoors, both as a farmer, and a woodsman until retirement. He loved to hunt and fish off his land, spending time enjoying the peace offered by nature. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Jeanette (Wiggins) Young; nephews, Raymond Young (Cindy) and Terry Meade (Susan); nieces, Barbara Belyea (Emery), Doreen Calder (Edmund), and June Bradley (Bruce Fillmore). He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his siblings, Manford, Isabelle Meade, and Greta and nephew, Gordon.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on January 9, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. A funeral service will follow in the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 pm with The Rev. Dr. Perry Hanley officiating. Interment will take place in the Jemseg Cemetery at a later date.
