CORMIER, JACQUELINE "JACKIE" - 1971-2015 - Jacqueline «Jackie» Cormier, 43, of Saint-Antoine, passed away at the Dr Georges-L-Dumont UCH on Tuesday January 6, 2015 after a brief illness. She was married to Claude Cormier. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of Emery «Nye»and Joan (Landry) Bastarache. She will be remembered for her blue eyes and smile that would light up a room. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. She had a joie de vivre that was contagious; she loved to travel and enjoyed camping with her family. Jackie was involved in many organizations; she devoted time to help others, the United Way, Parents and Teachers committees and Catechism classes. She had a degree in psychology from the University of Moncton and was employed with Bell Aliant for 15 years. She will be sadly missed by her parents, Emery and Joan, her husband, the love of her life, Claude, her cherished children, Annie and Patrick at home and her stepson, Mathieu (Suzanne) of Cocagne. She also leaves to mourn, her sisters; Natalie LeBlanc (Bernard Rousselle) of Cap Pelé, Denise Collette (Joe) of Bouctouche, her brothers; Gérard (Cécile), Paul, both of Bouctouche, Brian (Brenda) of Saint-Grégoire, her in-laws, Huberte and Adelire Cormier of Saint-Antoine and several nieces and nephews.
Jackie was predeceased by a sister, Sherry-Lynn.
Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église in Bouctouche, on Sunday January 11, 2015 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9pm and on Monday from 2 to 3:45pm. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church on Monday January 12, 2015 at 4:00pm. In Jackie’s memory a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home in Bouctouche.
