OATES, Hollis - Passed peacefully away on January 13, 2009 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in his 85th year. Leaving to mourn with treasured memories are his wife of 50 years, Thelma; and daughters Lori (Barry Robbins), Carol (Ed Traverse), and Linda (Scott Elford). His eight dearly loved grandchildren Alex and Abby Robbins, Molly, Luke, Julia and Jacob Traverse, and Emma and Philip Elford will miss their beloved “Pa.” Also leaving to mourn are his sister Marjorie Swain, sisters-in-law Barbara Oates and Leanie Oates, Dorothy Pruitt; brother-in-law Cecil Brett as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.
