It is with great sadness that the family of the late ELIZABETH BRAKE of Marystown announces her passing at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s, on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the age of 77. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Albert (Geraldine) of Marystown and John (Lynda) of Okotoks, AB; daughters, Mary Walters of Marystown, Meline Drake (Christopher Thomas) of Bashaw, AB, Geraldine Brake of Vancouver, BC, and Denise Adams (Terry) of Marystown; brother, Albert Barry (Marie) of Ontario; special friend, Paul Brake of Marystown; 15 Grandchildren; 21 Great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, John W. Brake; parents, Albert & Catherine Barry; daughter, Alberta; sisters, Almena Power, Genevieve Withers, Sheila Barry & Alice Slaney; brothers, Gerald Barry, Jim Barry, Alonzo Barry & William Barry; grandson, Shawn Gerard Brake.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown, on Wednesday, January 7, at 10:00 a.m. Interment followed at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown. In Elizabeth’s memory donations may be made to The Brake Family or flowers gratefully accepted.
