Doris Patricia Peach peacefully passed away at the Cove Guest Home, where she had resided since 2010.
Born in Donkin, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Bessie (MacLeod) Green. She resided most of her life in the Passchendaele area of Glace Bay, in the home our dad built after the war.

We remember that her tastes in music ran from Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
She is survived by daughters, Pam (David) Ferguson, Bedford, N.S., Debbie (Neil) MacAulay, Port Morien; sisters, Elsie McDonald, Annie May MacKenzie, both of Glace Bay; grandchildren, Amy and Page Ferguson; Daniel MacAulay (Natalia Samulina) and Alison MacAulay (Ian Morrison); great-grandchildren, Victoria and Sofia MacAulay and Charlotte Morrison.
Doris was predeceased by husbands, Bernard Gilday in 1958 and Gordon Peach in 1991; sister, Ellen MacLeod; brothers, Gordon and Lawrence Green; grandson, Scott Ferguson and stepsons, Ross and Raymond Peach.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, where a memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank all the staff on the Skylight unit of the Cove Guest Home for their wonderful care over the years and to Dr. John Archibald who provided attentive medical care while she was a resident at the Cove.
