Charlotte “Tommy” Heal (nee Tompkins) RN BScN

Predeceased by her loving husband Allan George Heal. Mom will be dearly missed by her children Christine Rayko, Paddy (Doug Barker) and Don (Heather Musgrave) and by her grandkids Kim, Mel and Jeffery, Nat and Leah, Ben, and Rachael.
Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick but grew up in her beloved P.E.I.
Charlotte trained as a nurse at the St. John General Hospital and graduated in 1950. As a military wife, she practiced nursing where Allan’s postings took her. She worked as a general duty nurse, in a doctor’s office, a mission hospital, the ICU, a Girl Guide camp, and in an emergency room.
She returned to school and graduated with her Bachelor of Science Nursing and worked as a PHN for the Ottawa Carleton Region Public Health Unit.
Mom and Dad had many years of happiness at the cottage, skiing, her friends and with her kids in no specific order. Mom often said “we had a good life”. Next time you pour a glass of white wine we hope you think of mom’s laugh and zest for life.
